Call For Foodies – Eumundi Market

If you’re just as passionate about food as we are, you would love this post about our visit to the Eumundi Market. This is the foodies’ heaven. The market was large, vibrant and busy. There are 40 to 50 food sellers in market, making it seem like a massive food court with plenty of choices between cuisine and nationality. You can even load up your shopping basket with fresh fruit and vegetables too.

At the first stop – the German sausages topped with sauerkraut and tomato or mustard sauce.

Organic Samorsa Cart – Something for the vegetarian

Triangular pastries stuffed with lightly spiced potatoes and served with tamarind and date chutney.

Vegetarian food to me, usually sounds a bit plain, but I would wholeheartedly recommend this dish. The sweet chutney sause is the perfect is the best combination to spicyness of the potatoes

Gourmet calamari with sweet chilli sauce

This is one of the best salt and pepper calamari I have ever tasted. The calamari was very tender and had the perfect amount of flour and seasoning with each piece.

Nimo’s Schnitzels wrap

You must try the schnitzel burger, but if you are after a more healthier option then try the fresh salads in a wrap. This shop caters for vegetarians as well.

How about different nationalities?

Okonomiyak – Japanese savoury pancake

Arancini balls, that is something new to me. So I googled it, according to WikipediaArancini or arancine are fried rice balls coasted with breadcrumbs, said it to have originated in Sicily in the 10th century”.  Also, in Sicilian arancici meaning little oranges

Aussie gourmet treats – Potato Slinkys

There are loads more food choices that you can try. Which one do you love best? Share your comments with us below.
