Today we celebrated my friend’s birthday in Bacarian Haus Restaurant. It’s my first German dining experience. According to my friends, this restaurant first opened in 1975. Bacarian Haus is an independent, one-of-a-kind restaurant located in heart of Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.
From the moment I first walked in, I was fascinated with the unique décor and atmosphere of the restaurant. There are three separate themed floors in the Restaurant, accommodating up to 320 guests.
There are a number of choices on the Menu, ranging from classic German cuisine, grain fed char grilled steak, fresh seafood, pasta, as well as a variety of salads and a large range of European beers. Of course, when at a German restaurant, what could be more typical than to order Crispy Pork Knuckle, Sausage Connection and Jager Schnitzel, which we had for mains. We also shared Crumbed Mushroom & Onion Rings and Spicy Potato Wedges on the side.
Crispy Pork Knuckle (German Style Pork Haxen)
The winning dish – crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside
Jager Schnitzel (Breaded Veal fried golden brown with mushroom sauce and fries)
Sausage Connection ( Trio of German Sausage )
Crumbed Mushroom & Onion Rings ( Served with Bernaise Sauce )
Spicy Potato Wedges
Feel like Gute Nahrung Garman, I would recommend to you to go and try for yourself.
As part of the decor, there are a number of signed photographs of celebrities who have been here before including the former Prime Minister – John Howard.
