Chocolates to Die For

As the name of this little shop suggests, the chocolate that they sell is absolutely To Die For.

As a mad chocolate lover myself, I remember I was intrigued just by the presentation of the beautifully crafted little pieces when I first visited this shop. And the taste of them – I don’t even know how to properly describe it! Let’s just say they taste as good as they look. Or maybe even better than that…

I had my usual favourites again this time – the pure white truffle & pure milk truffle. I also had the Cappuccino, Strawberry Fields and Caramel Love, just to indulge myself that little bit more. Actually, I did buy a couple more of the truffles because I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold back till I got home to take the pictures.

I especially like the pure white truffle. I absolutely looove white chocolate (I know it’s not technically chocolate but who cares!) and this pure white truffle, wow. The balance of textures between the hard shell and soft centre is like combining the treble and bass of a piano score sheet, and as the two melt away in your mouth along with the sweetness of the white chocolate, it is just pure harmony.

Chocolate to Die For is located on Adelaide street, just before the Anzac Square War Memorial park. I would recommend anyone to give them a try. Just be warned, they are pricier than the typical supermarket chocolates but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny.
